Top 5 reasons to book direct instead of using online travel agents (OTAs) (OTAs= Airbnb, VRBO, HomeAway, Booking.com)

1. By booking direct you are ensuring that all your money ends up supporting local businesses. Booking directly ensures the property receives the entire payment whereas if guests book via a 3rd party OTA, the amount that the property receives can be up to 25% less than the guest is actually paying due to the fact that 3rd parties take such large commissions.

2. Early check-in option! Get your trip started sooner by booking direct. 

3. No extra or “surprise” service fees. You are able to get a better rate and exclusive availability by booking direct.

4. Better deals and packages. Booking direct may allow you to take advantage of special deals, packages, and amenities. 

5. Better customer service. You’ll be in direct contact with your host and receive a much higher level of customer service and will have greater ease of communication.

Policies/cancelation

Though we certainly hope you don’t have to, if you find that you need to cancel your trip, please let us know 14 days prior to your arrival date for a full refund, 7 days out for a 75% refund. Cancelations less than 7 days out, 50% refund.

Check-in/check-out

In your pre-arrival email, you will receive directions to the rental and be given a code to the digital door lock to let yourself in.  Check-in is at 4:00 PM (early check-in is available by request). Check-out is at 11:00 AM.  Please respect these times for our cleaning service to prepare for your arrival and/or anyone staying after your stay. Please refer to the check-out procedures emailed to you in the digital guidebook.

Jessi - Our first adventure to WV and we stumbled upon this secluded gem! Being an ICU Nurse and my husband a plant manager, we needed a quiet get away and this was just the place. I could tell it had a woman’s touch to the place because it was very clean, efficient and well thought out. My favorite was the indoor/outdoor table. We hiked and explored New River Gorge high and low, then soaked our aches in the hot tub each night. We did the bridge walk, hiked to Long Point and ate lunch on a cliff, went fishing, seen amazing views and waterfalls at Sand Stone. Local restaurants were unique, with excellence in service and didn’t disappoint the palette! This cabin and location is a wonderful choice for people looking for a quiet getaway with lots of new adventures. Thanks so much for having us.

Karlee - This is a perfect spot to get away by yourself or just a few friends! Everything we needed was already provided between firewood, extra towels, dishes, etc. Nathan and Ashley were very respectful and had fast response times whenever I needed anything. My favorite part about the place is that they turned a container into such a warm welcoming home.

Joshua - We enjoyed so many things about this charming "container". Although it was small, it was perfectly appointed with all the comforts of home including cozy throw blankets, drink holders around the firepit (complete with firewood) and the most comfortable Airbnb bed I've ever stayed in.

We loved the reclaimed wood, thoughtful layout and retro style fittings. The hot tub was covered, private and lit with hanging Edison lights which really created a beautiful ambience sitting on the edge the forest.

Excellent host communication. Not only did Ashley provide all the usual details...she offered suggestions for everything from local restaurants to excursions.

The location was private, centrally located and boasted a perfect view into the woods from both the couch and the hot tub! If you're looking for an "experience" vs a hotel room, this is the place for you! ❤
